NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Review & Swatches
11:11 AM
Hi Loves! Hope you are having a great start to your week. In Today's Post I am swatching all 34 shades of my NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Lipsticks. In this post you will find arm swatches as well as a small overview review at the bottom. You will also notice at the bottom of the post I have embedded a youtube video of myself trying on all of the NYX soft matte lip cream lipsticks on my lips for those of you that prefer lip swatches. Hope you enjoy! xoxo
Lets look at the claims on the NYX Website:
Now available in twelve more statement-making shades, our velvety smooth Soft Matte Lip Cream delivers a burst of creamy color and sets to a stunning matte finish. Surprisingly durable, lightweight and delightfully creamy, it’s no wonder this sweetly scented formula is a fan favorite.
First Thing I noticed on the website is that the ingredients tab lists ingredients for each lipstick individually. Therefore this explains the inconsistency in formula as each lipstick is made differently which I'm sure is due to the different pigments and ingredients needed for certain shades.
I noticed some of the colors are easier to wear than others. Reds, oranges, and pinks are all super comfortable to wear and pigmented. I noticed the nude colors are a bit dry. And the darker colors a bit patchy. You can definitely see in the swatches which ones are patchy and which ones are more dry.
However if you are looking for a nicely priced drugstore alternative to the very expensive liquid lipsticks on the market now days, I'd have to say NYX should be a definite go-to. The variety and range in color and the $6.50 price tag has me sold.

♥ lightweight
♥ Very inexpensive
♥ Smells very pleasant (vanilla)
♥ Great Color Selection
♥ Great Color Selection
Con's:
♥ Some colors tend to be patchy, Especially the deeper purples, berrys, and blues.
♥ Inconsistency in the formula. some are a bit streaky
♥ Takes a bit long to dry... however this could be a pro since this may be better for beginners who want more time to really work with the product before it dries
♥ Takes a little bit of work to build some of the colors
♥ Not Transfer Proof (However these launched before liquid lipsticks were popular, so they aren't supposed to be).
♥ The Color of the tube sometimes does not match the color of the product
Overview
Overall if you are looking for something affordable, longer lasting than a normal lipstick, and a huge variety of colors these will be your calling. I have always been a big fan of NYX cosmetics because they make products affordable for those who don't care to spend $20+ on a lip product.

What an amazing collection! It's great that they're so affordable too, so the price justifies the quality. It's so hard to pick a favourite! Great post xx
